About Us

Mission Statement
The Rivers Edge will be a church with PASSION for the lost, COMPASSION for one another, VISION to reach the World and INTEGRITY in all we do.  We will accomplish this through evangelism, discipleship, accountability, meaningful worship, training and releasing people in their giftings, raising up leaders and sending them out, and dynamic small group Bible studies.

Our Vision
Our name says it all! We will be like a tree planted by the river of God, firmly rooted in the word Jer 17:5-8 Providing nourishment to the community around us and providing shelter and shade for the parched of this world.  Our church will be a giver of the fruits through the Holy Spirit and will be reproducing itself wherever the wind of God takes the mature seeds.

Core Values

  1. Passion for the unsaved.  All of us once were lost and because of the obedience
of another believer we heard the Gospel and our lives were changed.  We believe that as believers we must be obedient and go out to where the hurting are and bring them to the saving knowledge of Christ.

  2. Compassion for one another.  "They will know you are my disciples because of your love for one another."  We believe that as believers we must demonstrate God's love with grace and part of that love is to stimulate one another to good works and to offer correction to those who are in need lest they be led astray.  We believe the Bible is the authority on all things 2 Tim 3:16.

  3. Vision for this nation.  By reaching down into the miry pits and pulling people out and setting their feet upon the rock of Jesus Christ, training them and sending them out with a new song in their heart our nation will be impacted.  Instilling in others the vision for the unsaved and empowering them to reach the lost.  Our desire being that all in our nation would hear the gospel and trust in the Lord.

  4. Integrity in all forms.  Leadership must live their lives above reproach there must be biblical based discipline and accountability.

  5. Effectiveness.  We desire to use all of the resources God has given us to the best of our
ability.  To be a church that gives to and serves the community.
